Jean-Luc Eberlin, CFA

Head of Credit and Trading - EMEA

Jean-Luc Eberlin is head of EMEA credit strategies of MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Eberlin is the portfolio manager responsible for overall management of the EMEA credit research and trading teams, with a focus on delivering investment results that are consistent with the underlying benchmark and investment guidelines. His responsibilities include oversight of the portfolio management process, presenting the EMEA credit strategies brand to existing and potential clients and the management and development of the EMEA credit strategies team.

Prior to re-rejoining MetLife in 2011, Eberlin was the portfolio manager for the European CLO business of Highland Capital Management for three years managing European leveraged loan assets totaling approximately €2 billion. Prior to joining Highland Capital Management, Eberlin was a senior analyst in the European below investment grade unit of MetLife Europe.

Eberlin holds a Bachelor of Arts in management from Reims Business School (France) and from FH-Reutlingen (Germany), as well as an Master of Science in finance from Heriot Watt University (UK). He is a CFA® charterholder.
